The University of Birmingham, established in 1825 as the Birmingham School of Medicine and Surgery, is a public research institute in Edgbaston. Enrolling over 34,075 students across all degree programs, the university offers more than 350 undergraduate, 600 postgraduate, 140 research courses, and 450 Ph.D. opportunities.
