University of York

The University of York is a collegiate research university, established in 1963. Located in the York city of England, the university is one of the 24 research universities in the UK of Russell Groups and accredited by the Privy council. Spread across 500 acres, 20,400+students from around 150+ countries study in UY. The university is ranked 150 in the QS- World University Ranking and has bagged the Athena Swan awards for commitment to gender equality. It has ten colleges and offers master's and bachelor's programs in international business, management, computer science, public health, finance, global marketing, and many others. Housing more than 30 academic departments involved in exemplary research and undertakings, the University of York contributes Σ1.8bn to the economic impact of the UK economy. The West Campus harbors the York Science Park and National Science Learning Center, and the East Campus, established recently in 2009, has three colleges and three departments. It is the founding member of the Worldwide Universities Network. On-campus accommodation in UY is available for students and pre-sessional students, families, care-leavers, couples, and visiting students.
