Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT)

Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) was founded in 1972 is the largest tertiary academic institution in the Taranaki region of New Zealand. This institute is a part of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, with other renowned polytechnics of the country. As a result of this, from 2023, new incoming students will be enrolled with Te Pūkenga rather than WITT. The Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) provides programs from Level 1 to 9, which includes apprenticeships, degrees and diplomas, and short courses. Apart from paid courses, WITT offers free study options from Level 1 to Level 4. The WITT is the top provider of Highway Engineering programs in New Zealand (NZIHT).
